3 changes your hair needs this spring

SPRING. Even the name makes us want to put a pep in our step. The cold spells are gone, the sun is creeping out and the flowers are peeking through (see what we did there? ;-) Spring also has connotations with renewal, rebirth and an all round refresh. Perhaps because it comes with a promise of summer.

In the winter months, you would have doubled down on intense moisturising creams, heavy butters and oils for protecting your follicles from the Siberian-esque winds.

But what should you consider in Spring time? We've got 3 suggestions:

1. Get a Trim: Shed all your split ends. People tend to think of trimming as the enemy but it really isn't. It helps reduce irritating tangles and pesky knots but most importantly, prepares your hair for some yummy, springy curl definition slayage!

2. Clarify your hair: It's a good idea to clarify your hair after all the intense layering of hevay creams and butters. Take this as an opportunity to do a proper cleanse. We like to think of this as the spring reset.

3. Make a few product swaps: Choose lighter product formulations as opposed to the thick butters and oils of winter time. Basically leave ins/ milks or light oils such as argan oil can help ensure that your hair is not weighed down.
